Mom: Four Years Post Heart Attack Today

We Love Our Mom

We're celebrating and cherishing Mom a little bit extra today.

It's hard to believe it's been four years since she called the ambulance at 4 AM.

Mom says she feels good, got a good report from the cardio on Friday, and stays very active with her gardening, yard work, trips up and down the stairs a zillion times a day, and long walks with the puppies. Honestly, it's difficult to get her to sit still! She and Tovah Rose are always on the go, whereas Gershwin and I need lots of rest. :)

I hope we never face such a scare again. We are so fortunate that Mom had the intuition to call for help, that she could get the care she needed at our local hospital, that Jeannine could be there with her, and that Kristen was awake in the middle of the night to deal with my emotions. I still have nightmares!

We love you to the moon and back, Mom. We are grateful every day for all you do to make our lives so wonderful.
