Monday Dog Blog: Happy 5th Birthday G-Man!

These Red Flowers Really Compliment My Skin Tone!

Did you say birthday?

MY birthday?

I Am Five!

I think you did!

This Looks Like a Good Present!

Yes, I think this big bag of goodies is for me, and it smells pretty good too!

Let's Stop Posing For Pics and Open Presents Already!

Thank you for the toy and all of the delicious treats!

Buddha and His Birthday Treat!

My brother, Buddha, got an ice cream cone for his birthday!

Happy birthday to my brother!

Do you think we look alike?

We have kept in touch since we become part of our forever families.

Buddha sends really great updates and pictures. We hope to meet again someday.

2013: Me and My Brother

I also just want to honor my big brother, Asher, who's birthday was yesterday, and who taught me so very much. I still keep Mommy company next to the bathtub just the way Asher taught me.

(I'm wearing a onesie here because I had just been neutered! Aren't I precious?)

I Think Being FIVE Is Going To Be Great!

I had a really good birthday, but Mommy didn't get this blog out on time. She feels kinda bad about that, but I told her I love her no matter what.

That's what I'm all about: LOVE.

A note from Mommy: Thank you, Gershwin, for filling our home with so. many. snuggles. You are our little lovebug who makes our lives warmer and brighter every day. We cannot believe you are five! You are our little light.

Happy Monday!

Blessings,

Gershwin (aka Speedy, G-man, Buddy Roe, Sir, Handsome, Gardener, and a host of other names!)

Attn: BIG NEWS! Save the Date to #runforrowe

My dear readers,

I'm bursting with excitement to share an opportunity I have to support Dr. Rowe, Hopkins Children's, Dysautonomia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Awareness all at the same time.

Hopkins Children's has asked me to be the Team Captain for Rowe's Research Runners as part of the Baltimore Running Festival!!!!!!

Please SAVE THE DATE:

October 21st, 2017

This is the day we're going to show Dr. Rowe how much his work matters. It's the day we are going to show this country that Dysautonomia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and related disorders deserve funding. It's the day we unite to support one another--those we love with these illnesses and those of us with them.

If you have donated to my campaigns in the past, watch your mailbox for some 'happy mail.'

I know it's been a long time since I've posted--it's been a mix of ups and downs the past several months. But, I HAD to post a sneak peak of the race! I hope to write more details soon. I know Fall books up quickly, so I wanted to get this news out to you all. When Hopkins Children's asked me to be Team Captain, I was over the moon.

I hope you'll consider supporting me in whatever way you can--by running in Baltimore, by running virtually, by donating to my page, or by spreading the word. You don't have to be a marathoner! There are lots of race options.

You get a LOT of bang for your buck with this race: You commit to raising $250 and the rest is covered for you.

Think about how much awareness and money we could raise by creating a BIG team of people #runningforrowe?

If enough folks run in Baltimore, I'll be traveling to see you at the festival!

Click here fore the team page.

Let's do this.

As Dr. Rowe says:

Onwards and Upwards!

Blessings,

Emily

Monday Dog Blog: Flower Babies

Hey Everyone!

We got groomed this week, so we are looking pretty sharp!

I was willing to pose anywhere Mommy wanted me.

Tovah was a little less cooperati/interested in all the shenanigans.

I think she's kind of rolling her eyes at Mommy in this picture.

She  loves to lay under the Kousa dogwood. Mommy asked her if she wanted to come inside, and she just looked at Mommy as if to remind her that she is the Lieutenant around here and not to interrupt her duties.

We really don't have any exciting news for you.

We just wanted to make you smile and say that we hope

flowers + puppies

will brighten your Monday.

Happy Monday!

Blessings,

Gershwin

Monday Dog Blog: Did You Say Holiday Weekend?

Happy July 4th Weekend from Us!

Mommy and Mom don't watch enough TV anymore. But when they do, we are so excited!

Mommy loved that I snuggled right up to my brother when we were on her lap.

Thanks for putting the blankets on the sofas so that I can get rest, patrol, and be comfy. I don't think you really need to sofas for human use.

My brother is kind of goofy. Why does he hang his head down like this?

Mom is going to stay home with us in the basement during the fireworks. Gershwin is especially scared of any loud noises, so he will wear his Thundershirt and take a xanax!

We hope you have a happy, safe, fun, and restful holiday weekend.

Blessings,

Tovah Rose and Gershwin
