Monday Dog Blog: Peace, Love and Cuteness from Us

We've had another lovely week here at the beach.

We've enjoyed the warm weather, getting wet and sandy,

walking along the beach,

and best of all,

lots of time in Mommy's lap.

Mom takes us for long walks down along the beach,

and then we need a serious nap!

We also really enjoyed receiving our Chewy order with food and treats! Mommy made us get in the box so we could share a photo with the folks at Chewy. :)

It's been a good week.

Happy Monday!

Monday Dog Blog: Perfection

Our first week at the beach has been wonderful, and we've made it to the beach almost every day.

Today was one of the most gorgeous days we have ever had here over the past four years...and it is not even the end of February!

We are two of the happiest dogs on earth right now.

We always have a lap available, sunshine and fresh sea air, lots of admirers on the beach, good food and good snacks.

Mommy is so very happy to be here with us and Mom and, bit by bit, she is finding peace in her heart.

This is the first year we haven't brought The Rolls. This is so exciting, except that one of us (Tovah Rose) misses riding in Mommy's lap.

I, Gershwin, enjoyed getting my paws wet today. Mommy and I love to wade in the water together.

The beach is our place to be together as a family, all day every day. It's our happy place and this week's weather was perfect.

Blessings,

Tovah Rose and Gershwin

Happy Gal/Val-entine's Day from Us!

Beach Day!

This. Is. LOVE.

Happy Valentine's Day from Us!

Galentine's

And Happy Galentine's Day from Mom and me!

We had a perfect day on the beach today.

Look at these two cute Valentine's!

Mom Heading Back Towards Me with the Puppies

It was in the 60's today with no wind, clear blue skies, and calm waters on the beach today.

Our Dinner

We ended the day with red wine, fish tacos and fruit dipped in melted chocolate.

After that, the four of us settled in for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

It was a perfect Galentine's/Valentine's Day.

(Gershwin might feel left out if I call today Galentine's Day, but I do love that concept!)

We hope you felt loved and spent time with someone you love today, including your four-legged friends.

Blessings and Happy Gal/Val-entine's Day!

Emily

Monday Dog Blog: Beach Time!

We Went to the Beach Almost Immediately After We Got to Town!

Hey!

We're here!

T: Breathe In, Breathe Out!

We made it to Sunset Beach, NC today for our annual six week stay.

G: Do You Like My New 'Do?

We knew exactly where we were right away and were very excited!

*Sigh* It's So Boring Here.

This is what we left behind at home.

One Last Snow Before We Left! (Thursday)

While we like the snow a lot, the sunshine and fresh air here can't be beat.

But It Was Pretty!

So, we ran around in the snow a lot before we headed South.

I Was So Brave! Tovah Didn't Get *her* Paws Wet!

We left home on Saturday morning and arrived by 1:30 on Sunday afternoon, so we made a quick trip down to the beach to check out everything.

I Tested the Water Right Away!

It felt so good to get our paws on the beach!

And Got Nice and Dirty!

T: This Sunshine and Vitamin D Rocks!

Mommy was so so excited because she was able to go to the beach right away this afternoon before she crashed for the day.

We are so excited to see how every year she feels better and better!

G: After All of that Exploring I Couldn't Keep My Eyes Open!

After we explored, we could barely keep our eyes open!

All of that travel, staying in a hotel room, checking out all of the new smells, and the windy beach air tired us out.

We will sleep well tonight.

We are so looking forward to our six weeks here. Mommy has been struggling a lot, and she really needs this time here to try to recalibrate, recuperate, rebalance and rejuvenate. Mom needs that too.

We are happy to be their biggest supporters and companions through all of life's ups and downs.

Happy Monday!

Blessings,

Tovah Rose and Gershwin

Monday Dog Blog: What's My Job Exactly?

Tovah Rose seems clear in her role as Chief Yard Patrol Agent.

Clearly, she is the leader and Gershwin is the follower.

He's usually staring somewhat aimlessly wondering what he's really doing up there on the sofa, or he just plops down in front of Tovah Rose and takes a little break from all of the hard work.

This happens multiple times a day, every day around here.

Because, you know, Grizzlies. We're prepared.

Er, Tovah Rose is prepared.

Gershwin is still unclear about his duties, but he seems to keep a good watch on Tovah.

And sometimes, it's all just exhausting and we take a big nap on the sofa that Mom is so desperately trying to keep us off of!

Happy Monday!

Blessings,

Emily
