#GivingTuesday#Dysautonomia: Global Day of Giving

Today is #GivingTuesday.

What is Giving Tuesday?

It's a global day of giving. Giving to the causes closest to our hearts. Giving to the people who need it the most. Giving during a season of gratitude.

As most of my readers know, this is the third year in a row that I have been raising money for Dr. Peter Rowe at Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital.

I will forever remain committed to this cause because of Dr. Rowe's tireless commitment to treating patients like myself, to educating physicians and medical students, to educating patients, and to doing research. He is indefatigable.

And he counts on OUR donations to keep his work going.

Dr. Rowe and Hopkins Children's depends almost entirely on philanthropy to keep their doors open EVERY day for those who need healthcare--whether they can afford to pay or not.

It costs ONE MILLION dollars for the hospital to simply open its doors each day.

Please consider a donation today in honor of this great organization and this great doctor. Hopkins is truly a special place that serves many people from all over the country who need care that no other place can offer. Dr. Rowe is one of the best doctors in the world in his field.

Thank you!

Monday Dog Blog: Staying Stronger Together

November 8, 2016
Hillary Headquarters

Mommy hasn't posted an entry in over three weeks because she's been trying to make sense of the election, of how to move forward, and how, it seems, love didn't trump hate.

She'd really like to get back to blogging, so we thought we'd help her start with a Monday dog blog.

Tovah Rose and Crystal

We actually spent part of election day at the Hillary Headquarters in our town, visiting staff and volunteers to relieve some stress.

Mommy and Mom invested so much of their hearts and souls into the election. We can't really just ignore what happened and not acknowledge that we're feeling a little lost, uncertain, scared and adrift here at home.

What we're doing here is recognizing how hard we all fought as a family for HRC. We're trying to gather ourselves together, piece by piece, and find a new path forward in an uncertain world. We're holding tight to one another here at home. Snuggling more. Hunkering down. Loving one another. Making sure that we remember every day that Love Trumps Hate in this home and that we are Stronger Together as a family.

Blessings,

Tovah Rose and Gershwin

Monday Dog Blog: Helping Hillary

James Loved Us! :)

We went trick or treating at the Hillary Headquarters downtown last week.

We dressed up as Ty Beanie Babies! :)

Eisha Kept Saying: I'm so Happy Right Now!

Okay, so it wasn't really trick or treat, but Mommy brought plenty of treats for all of the staff and volunteers to give us.

James and Eisha Really Needed Some Stress Relief

The REAL reason we headed downtown to visit these folks is because we heard from several little birdies that they would really, really, really like to have some puppy time to relieve some of their stress.

I Let Britt Hug Me! (G)

We thought this was a great way that we could help out with the campaign!

We brought so many smiles to the faces of these hard-working staff and volunteers, and Eisha showed us off to everyone in the office.

I Loved All of the Attention

We want to thank all of these exceptional people for working to make us Stronger Together. These young men and women are indefatigable, passionate, engaged, intelligent and beautiful human beings working so hard to elect Hillary as our first female president.

We cannot wait to celebrate a Hillary win.

Kate Enjoyed Snuggling with Me (T)

On this last day before the election we are with Michelle Obama when she says:

"When they go low, we go high. Go vote."

As Chris Wallace said at the end of the last debate:

"One thing everyone here can agree on: We hope you will go vote. It is one of the honors and obligations of living in this country."

President Obama would say:

"Don't Boo...Vote!"

We are so fortunate to live in a country where we have the freedom to vote, the opportunity to vote, and the safety to exercise our right to vote.

Blessings,

Tovah Rose and Gershwin
