Monday Dog Blog: Therapy Dog Class and Leisure Time

Hey!

It's Tovah Rose Twinkle Toes here with my Little Pink Sock.

(If you have never read the comic Mutts, it's about time you start!)

Here's Gershwin with Mommy at our Therapy Dog Class.

Our last class is tonight and we will really miss this class. It has been so much fun for all of us.

I'm proud of Gershwin because he has been working on overcoming some of his fears, especially to noise.

I am proud of myself because I seem to be well-tempered to be a therapy dog.

Andrea, Mel, Octavia, Claudia and Griffin

Mommy is uncertain how far she would like to take the training for us to actually become certified, but the focus on taking the class, spending time with us, and on training throughout the week has helped Mommy to heal her heart.

Tovah Practices Being Pet by Octavia

Sometimes, we can see how sad she is. And we see that when she starts training us and we are silly and funny and having fun she starts to feel better. We see her laugh and smile and become completely absorbed in us.

Look Who Had a Birthday!

Last week at class, Mommy let the other members know that it was Mom's birthday!

Being Serenaded

So, Mel made sure that everyone sang happy birthday!

Octavia, who is in the little walker, was pretending to be a child in a wheelchair so that the puppies could practice with being around medical equipment,

We LOVE this little girl, who has been present for almost all of the classes we have taken. Octavia always gives us lots of love and also gives Mommy hugs.

So much of what makes the classes so fun is the people and dogs we meet and have gotten to know over the last couple of years.

This summer we are planning to take an agility class!

Mommy is super excited about the progress she has made and the ability to take these classes with us.

Gershwin Needs Snuggles

Other than being star pupils in our Therapy Dog Training class, life remains good at home. We work hard, but we do get time for leisure.

We still get in our snuggles and we love that Mommy can walk us now.

Little Brothers are SO Annoying

We still fight like siblings.

Do you see how Gershwin is IN MY FREAKING SPACE here?! I mean, he is right in front of MY RED BED.

I let him know in no uncertain terms that this was unacceptable!

But, alas, he didn't listen OR move!

I Love Spring!

Mom left these pillows on the sofa today.

Perfect for bunny watching.

And, oh, are there ever a lot of bunnies out there.

Life is good.

Blessings,

Tovah Rose
